A little about us…

Growing up, I lived two houses down from my grandparents in rural central Indiana. Their pride & joy was their home and land, in which they poured an abundance of energy into. Their house sat on this hill surrounded by shade trees, so they called it “Shady Hill”.
My grandma went on to be with the Lord in 2020, but thinking back, she always had a camera in her hand throughout my childhood. As I started my journey as a photographer in 2015, it seemed as if I was the only one in my family who had a passion for camera work. Well, I soon realized I inherited that passion from my grandma.
My grandpa then passed in 2022, but two weeks before his passing, he wanted me to have my grandma’s cameras.
After 8 years of experience, I felt it was time to honor their legacy by launching Shady Hill.
We believe it’s more than images taken by a camera — It’s time that’s standing still — It’s capturing a feeling that might fade away — It’s capturing a story deserving of being told.
That’s what Shady Hill is.
